Ruby Cloud

Ruby Cloud Brand Illustration featured

A series of brand illustrations created for Ruby studio’s web hosting service Ruby cloud.

The first 6 spot illustrations are designed to accompany the 6 different service packages. Each option is represented by a building type that also serves as a metaphor for the option’s features. Each building is made of elements associated with wire frame drawings.

Nine illustrated icons were also created to help describe the various services the website offers.

Jagten på Allergien

Astma og Alergi Character Aya

“The pursuit of Allergy” is an educational project by Astma-Allergi Danmark aimed at middle school children in order to broaden their knowledge on the topic of allergy, prevention and treatment. The materials have the look and feel of a game where the children choose an avatar and explore an allergy from the avatar’s point of view.

I was asked to create illustrations and to design the materials in a way that would be appealing to a young audience. I created 10 characters based on physical description, personality traits and hobbies, predetermined by the client.

Food Illustration | 2017

Burritos

Illustration series I started in the beginning of 2017 in order to experiment with and develop a more textured, hand drawn vector style. The project is ongoing and new pieces are being added as they are created.

Art History Illustration | 2016

Magdalene with the Smoking Flame illustration

The Art History Illustration is a self initiated project to help me practice and refine certain aspects of my own personal illustration style. For this project I choose old classical art pieces, anything from ancient to modern art and reinterpret them (or a selected detail) in a simple flat vector style. The art pieces are chosen based personal preference, interest and taste. For each illustration I chose a limited colour palette (trying not to exceed 6 colours). The project is ongoing and new pieces are being added as they are created.

Startup Weekend Aalborg

Startup Weekend Aalborg 2013 T shirt design

Startup Weekend is a global entrepreneurship event held once a year in Aalborg, the local organizer is Kickstart Aalborg.  As a part of the organizing team in 2013 and 2014, I had to come up with the visual expression of the event.

In 2013 I chose to go with a colour palette dictated by the event’s logo colour and use the city silhouette on the promotional materials (posters and social media banners). For the t-shirt I went with a “cloud” of icons, which in some way symbolized entrepreneurship.

For Startup Weekend Aalborg 2014 new identity was developed. I used a photograph for the poster and social media materials. The t-shirt design was inspired by drawing with a chalk on a black board. The analogy comes from the idea that Startup Weekend is about conceptualizing, brainstorming and work in progress, which all resembles drafting on a black board.
