An illustration of Bornholm for chef Arthur’s menu card to the competition “Sol over Gudhjem” 2024. The colour palette is chosen to match the flower bouquets at the presentation. The illustration had to include the outline of Bornholm, architecture and nature.
A series of illustrations to help visualise the Slagelse Municipality ‘s Health policy. The main illustration is meant as a cover image and it shows a glimpse into the lives of the people of Slagelse. We can see people of all ages enjoying a healthy life. The background is made up of various recognisable landmarks that help situate the viewer. In addition four spot illustrations were developed to communicate the four guiding principles of the health policy: community, early intervention throughout life, equal opportunities and cross-functional collaboration. The colour palette combines grey neutrals with fresh spring greens to evoke the idea of health and vitality.
“Nisse” Christmas cards made for Forindet’s winter collections from 2020 until now. The collection is inspired by the cute little “nisse” – a gnome like creature from Scandinavian folklore, associated with Christmas time. “The pursuit of Allergy” is an educational project by Astma-Allergi Danmark aimed at middle school children in order to broaden their knowledge on the topic of allergy, prevention and treatment. The materials have the look and feel of a game where the children choose an avatar and explore an allergy from the avatar’s point of view.
I was asked to create illustrations and to design the materials in a way that would be appealing to a young audience. I created 10 characters based on physical description, personality traits and hobbies, predetermined by the client.
Illustration series I started in the beginning of 2017 in order to experiment with and develop a more textured, hand drawn vector style. The project is ongoing and new pieces are being added as they are created.
The Art History Illustration is a self initiated project to help me practice and refine certain aspects of my own personal illustration style. For this project I choose old classical art pieces, anything from ancient to modern art and reinterpret them (or a selected detail) in a simple flat vector style. The art pieces are chosen based personal preference, interest and taste. For each illustration I chose a limited colour palette (trying not to exceed 6 colours). The project is ongoing and new pieces are being added as they are created.
Everclassic is a Danish auction platform for vintage designer furniture. Their mission is to help quality classic design pieces find new home. I was asked to create series of illustrations in simple clean and modern flat style using bright light colours. The illustrations had to support the classy image of the brand, while helping explain the concept, enhance the website or add an extra touch to newsletters and social media promotions.
